Fresh imported stems are air-freighted and refrigerated at every leg. Silk travels once, unrefrigerated, and travels again only when re-staged.

The honest caveat
A silk bloom staged once is worse than a fresh one. Everything depends on the second event, and on the third. Rent, or buy and re-stage — but do not buy and discard.
